Sakura 2014 and the Swan Princess

IMG_8600

So far, it was the warmest weekend of 2014 (24 degrees). We travelled to the other end of the city to view the Cherry Blossoms at High Park.

At the end of the blossom trail,we saw a mamma swan keeping her eggs warm. You can get a small glimpse of mamma swan’s carefully protected blue/grey eggs in the two photos below. It was a really special moment.   She did not leave those eggs, but occasionally rose to reposition.

Below, is their now perfected  “Elsa, do you wanna build a snowman?” pose.  Hope is saying, “do the magic.”

  1. What gorgeous photos! The cherry blossoms are such a perfect backdrop for your sweet girls. This weather has been heavenly.

PS. The backyard gnome house has a new addition. I thought of you while setting things up around the toadstools. Hugs!
